GEA, in partnership with Sophia Center, planned a series of programs to engage people in research and action related to the new Earth Story. The program explored strategies to affect local and global policies and practices, and systemic change related to peace, social justice, economic development, and ecological integrity.

Activities took place in 2004 including a consultation at the Presentation Retreat Center in Los Gatos, California, with 30 leading thinkers and practitioners of the new cosmology, who posed new areas for research, development and strategic action. This meeting was used to explore next steps and programs in the series.
